Motivation Monday: How To Stay Motivated

For today's Motivation Monday post, we're sharing a few ideas on how to stay motivated today and throughout the week.
  1. Create a routine, such as incorporating time batching or listening to calming music, such as classical piano music, spa sounds, or ocean sounds. Spotify or Apple Music aren't the only platforms to stream music, and YouTube is a fun alternative because you can find videos with beautiful scenery and music playing or even enjoy listening to calming music while watching a crackling fireplace.

  2. Change your work setting if possible by staying close to windows with natural light, scenery, and/or plants and flowers.

  3. Curb any overwhelm you may experience from all the tasks ahead of you by keeping a simple schedule, prioritizing the most essential, important things that must be completed, and reach out for help and resources if needed, such as by contacting a mentor, friend, or researching online.

  4. To stay refreshed throughout the week and reduce the risk of burning out, take as many short breaks as you may need and/or get lost doing something you love for 30 minutes.

  5. Schedule one small thing each day to look forward to, such as exercise, reading a book or magazine, organizing your space, cooking dinner, going for a forest walk, etc.
