For today’s Motivation Monday post, sharing a few ideas on how to welcome the autumn season during this year’s autumn equinox.

The autumn equinox occurs when the southern and northern hemispheres face the sun.  At this time, day and night are approximately the same lengths, reaching a balance between the two.

The autumn equinox is known as a time of harvest, a time to keep gratitude in your heart and remember any lessons that have helped you learn and grow.  It is also a time to release anything and everything that no longer leads to abundance or growth.

Below are a few ways to welcome the fall season:

  1. Restore equilibrium and inner peace at home by completing a deep fall cleaning and eliminating the unnecessary.

  2. Establish a seasonal routine by getting into an organized and productive daily rhythm.

  3. Create autumn art and fall crafts!

  4. Start something new by creating goals or starting a project, which will guide you to discovering your own inner and outer harvest.

  5. Attend a harvest festival.

  6. Incorporate fall foods into your diet, such as traditional autumn harvest foods like apples, corn, pumpkins, squash, and zucchini.

  7. Add pumpkins and fall decor to your home.

  8. Go for an autumn walk or drive.
