As a follow up to our litigation process post, today we're discussing the trial process.

Trial
If a case goes to trial, the parties have an opportunity to introduce their evidence and let their witnesses testify. Either party may object to the other party's evidence. When evidence closes, each party gives its closing arguments. In a jury trial, the judge instructs the jury and the jury then determines whether the defendant is responsible or not for the damages alleged by the plaintiff. In a bench trial, the judge decides and determines relief for the prevailing party.
