For today’s Wisdom Wednesday post, we’re sharing and reflecting on a quote about “inner calm” from the book You Learn by Living by Eleanor Roosevelt.
“First of my own personal requirements is inner calm. The ability to attain this inner calm, regardless of outside turmoil, is a kind of strength. It saves an immense amount of wear and tear on the nervous system.”
While reflecting on this quote, we are encouraged to explore ways to attain inner calm and its benefits.
One way to attain inner calm is to remain focused on managing our own thoughts and actions. Another way is by exercise and/or meditation. Expressing gratitude, spending time in nature, and simple living can help us achieve inner calm.
