Happy Wisdom Wednesday! Today we're sharing a few benefits of journaling.
One. Achievement // Very often when we journal we write about our hopes, goals, dreams, ambitions, & desires. In doing so we identify &/or create opportunities & resources to reach our goals. Writing detailed goals through the journaling process creates a blueprint in our brains of what we want to accomplish & increases our chances of actually achieving our goals.
Two. Creativity // Writing without thinking in the form of a brain dump helps you to discover latent thoughts & ideas.
Three. Emotional intelligence // Emotional intelligence is perceiving and managing your emotions and other people's emotions, & journaling is a safe space for processing emotions, increasing self awareness, & developing empathy.
Four. Healing // Expressive writing aids the process of emotional, physical, & psychological healing. for example, stress often originates from emotional blockages & overthinking scenarios we create in our minds. Transferring these experiences into writing makes the experience more fathomable, less ambiguous, & ultimately leads to less stress & more action.
Five. Intelligence & communication // By exploring words & language. journaling amplifies your vocabulary and use of words. It also improves writing skills.
Six. Mindfulness // Journaling allows you to actively acknowledge your thoughts & feelings onto paper & write your personal story.
Seven. Self confidence // Documenting positive experiences and focusing on the good things going on around us and within us little by little leads to self confidence.
Eight. Self discipline // Scheduling a daily, bi-weekly, weekly, or even a monthly journaling practice increases self discipline & promotes healthy habits.
