Wisdom Wednesday: Hello February

For today’s Wisdom Wednesday post, we are sharing a few ideas on how to enjoy the month of February.

1. Make your environment glow by getting an early start on spring cleaning; even devoting ten minutes of your time each day to cleaning tasks adds up. This is especially symbolic because according to www.almanac.com, “February comes from the Latin word februa, which means ‘to cleanse.’ The month was named after the Roman Februalia, which was a month-long festival of purification and atonement that took place this time of year.” See The Month of February 2023: Holidays, Fun Facts, Folklore, available at https://www.almanac.com/content/month-february-holidays-fun-facts-folklore.
2. Add the colors pink, red, and white—the primary colors associated with Valentine’s Day—to your environment. A few examples include: updating the wallpaper on your phone, tablet, and/or computer to display these colors; decorating your home with red, pink, and white candles, such as Target's Red Roses candle or Allswell Glow candle; and/or displaying and enjoying pink, red, and white flowers, such as tulips, red roses, and white hydrangeas, on your kitchen table and/or office desk.

3. Decorate and send handwritten Valentine’s Day cards to loved ones.

4. Create a Valentine’s Day playlist.

5. Take a weekend trip to your favorite city.

6. Research the meaning behind Groundhog Day.

7. Admire the night sky by looking for February’s full “Snow Moon,” which reaches peak illumination at Sunday, February 5, 2023.

8. Make a spring to-do list.
